Dying to be thin on social media

As the Royal College of Psychiatrists warns that online content encouraging eating disorders is “out of control”, a mum and daughter told me about their own terrifying experience.

Katie Scott was just 14 when she started looking at pro-anorexic content on social media, and over the next year she developed a deadly eating disorder.

Her mum, Hazel tried everything she could to get her daughter to eat again, but she had no idea the damaging images she was looking at online.
